I love knitting socks!! Even if they are just stockinette socks, the yarns are so fun! I started this pair in Jan 2008. The first time knitting socks on DPN's :) I learned to knit socks 2 at a time on a size 1-40" Addi Turbo with the Magic Loop method. So I just had to try the DPN's to see if I could master it. Not doing too bad I say :)



And I also cast this on Feb 5th, 2008! I found this yarn at my LYS and it was still in the bag of 10 it came in. The owner said it was a mispick when she ordered....I bought all 10 cuz I just LOVE the color!! This will be a V-Neck short-sleeved sweater for moi!!

I also want you to meet our kitty Sylvester. He will be 3 years old on 4-1-08. He isn't too sure about having a new puppy in the house. He is king of the hill since Annie left us in Dec. He is HUGE! I think he weighs close to 20 lbs. His eyes are so pretty! One blue and one gold!

Meet Abigail aka Abby

This is our new furbaby Abigail aka Abby! She is an 8 week old Malti-poo. She is a mix of purebred Maltese & Poodle. Born on 11-23-07. I knit this sweater on 1-24-08 but she can already get out of it! I think I need to make the armholes smaller!!

Goodbye Sweet Annie!

My sweet little dog went to live in heaven on 12/10/07. She had fluid in her lungs and was losing weight rapidly. She blessed us with her loving tail wags and kisses for 8 years. We will miss you Sweet Annie :) Love, your mommy!!

Kool-Aid dyed yarn!!

I just started experimenting with Kool-Aid Dying and I LOVE IT!! I can't wait to make more skeins for future projects! I dyed this yarn with Lemon-Lime & Pink Lemonade Kool-Aid with a couple of drops of Green & Red Food Color dyes. Added a bit of vinegar to be sure it set well and VOILA!! YUMMY! I LOVE the colors!! I am making a felted gift basket to give for the Holidays! I will post the finished project soon!

Starting Christmas Knitting Ü

AAAHHHH Christmas. It is on it's way and I love Christmastime! From the decorations to buying and wrapping presents to knitting some fun stuff this year! YEA! Here is my daughter, Madison wearing a Santa hat I started on Friday and finished on Sunday! :)
